Happy 11th Birthday to young reader, Katie Walsh.

Today I had the privilage to be present to witness the re-opening of Ballyfermot Library. The much loved Library has been closed for the past four years and re-opened today as a 21st century super duper fantastic library.

I was delighted and humbled to see the lovely ''Joe O'Brien'' book stand right next to Mr. Colfer himself.

And to top it off, what a surprise when I noticed my name on the wall of Ballyfermot Personalities along with Joe Duffy, Mary Byrne, The Fury brothers and more.....

Congratulations to Una, Maread and all the wonderful librarians at Ballyfermot. You're amazing people. The heart of the community has been restored.

Big Happy 9th Birthday to Alfie Green fan, Rhiannon Dockerty.

A big belated thank you to all the pupils from Churchtown N.S, Scoil Mhichil Naofa and Wolf Hill for attending my Alfie Green and Beyond the Cherry Tree events in Athy Library on May 15th.

And to all the pupils from San Carlo senior and junior schools for visiting me at Leixlip Library on May 22nd.

Both days were tremendous fun and of course many thanks to all librarians on both days for such brilliant preparations and hosting.

Yesterday I had a wonderful time in the lovely town of Blessington. I visited three amazing schools, St. Brigid's, St. Mary's and Blessington No. 1.

The image above is the bundle of fantastic Alfie Green drawings given to me by the very talented pupils of Blessington No1 school.

All the pupils were very enthusiastic and we had a great time making up stories and of course I read from my books, Beyond The Cherry Tree and the Alfie Green series.

I was very well looked after by two very lovely ladies, Janet and Lucinda of the Blessington Bookstore.

The Blessington Bookstore is having a book fair on Saturday April 27th. You'll find lots of signed copies of my books there along with Author readings (I would highly recommend the Emily Mason event) and other exciting events.

It's worth a trip!

Had a super fun time in my Eason O'Connell St. event with the pupils and teachers from Rutland St. School. Thanks everyone. And of course, as always, all the Eason staff were so nice.

A big thanks to all the pupils from St. David's National school and Naas Community school for coming to my World book day event today in the lovely Naas Library. And of course thank you to all the wonderful librarians too. A fun morning it was indeed!
